By FRAN FARRER
CHARLOTTE, NC - Registration is underway for the "Tailoring Teens for Success" curriculum for girls ages 11-16 to be a part of the Fall 2018 class. Girls participate in interactive workshops that focus on a range of topics including self-awareness, friendships, nutrition, career readiness, social media and more.
Each session begins with physical fitness - from zumba to line dancing. Girls receive healthy snacks and delve into the day's discussion led by a professional facilitator.
Upon completion, girls are celebrated with a graduation brunch and support to continue their path for excellence!
Parents or guardians are included, too! Once a month they meet separately for an impactful, engaging workshop to enhance their communication skills with their daughter.
Space is limited for this Girl Talk Foundation series and is on a first come, first serve basis. The “Tailoring Teens for Success” session begins Saturday, August 18, 2018, at 10am and runs through December 1, 2018 at 1:30pm, at UNCC Charlotte Center City, 320 East 9th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202.
