CHARLOTTE, NC – Monday, Yetur Gross-Matos, second-year Carolina Panthers defensive end partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina to host his first YGM Thanksgiving Food Drive at JH Gunn Elementary School.

Yetur was excited to personally present deserving families a turkey, a box of fresh produce, a box of dinner sides, and place them in their trunks while family and friends looked on. “I’m excited to partner with such an amazing organization as Second Harvest. This is my first real chance to give back to Charlotte and show them I am part of the community.

“Second Harvest Food Bank is honored and excited to partner with Yetur to help bring Thanksgiving meals to hundreds of local families,” stated Kay Carter, CEO of second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. “Yetur is helping to ensure a happier holiday for families struggling to feed their children of the holidays and we are truly grateful for his generosity in helping us meet these needs.”

Drafted by the Panthers in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Yetur’s exemplary record at Penn State gave the Panthers reason to consider adding him to the team.
